Gentlemen's Shirts – Locally Tailored in Presteigne

A recent addition to my business is a range of three styles of traditional handmade long sleeved gentlemen’s shirts, all of which are made from the finest quality Italian cotton. The three designs work equally well when worn formally or informally.

The main characteristic which defines each style is the collar:

• Milan has an Italian-inspired generous deep wide point collar.
  
• Oxford has a traditional softer style preppy look button down collar, and also comes with a back centre pleat and hoop.
• London has a classic understated medium point collar and comes with fold back square cuffs finished with button holes for cuff links.

All three styles are generously cut, exquisitely made, and are beautifully finished. Each of the three styles includes side gussets as standard. The option to select a different contrasting fabric for collars and/or cuffs is available on the Milan and London styles. A white collar/cuffs combined with classic stripes is an absolute timeless must-have combination and harps back to the timeless elegance of the 1920s.

Almost all great designs contain a mathematical formula which is at the heart of what makes the design so good. In the case of each of my three shirt designs there is a mathematical relationship between the neck size, chest size, and body length, and it is this which determines the other collar dimensions and ensures the collar remains balanced and proportional to the body and the rest of the shirt.

The range of cloths available is truly impressive, and includes checks, stripes, and plain colours, and are drawn from a very extensive colour palate.
